Faculty and Staff Profile
St. Anne’s School employs a well-qualified staff. We currently have one principal, one assistant principal, nine classroom teachers, a computer instructor, Title I Coordinator, a physical education teacher, a sports director, a music instructor, three classroom part-time aides, a secretary, a librarian, a bookkeeper, custodian, and one extended care director on staff. The longevity of the staff shows a sense of commitment to educating and serving God and the St. Anne’s School community. Our faculty and staff regard each other as an extended family and this creates a caring working environment.
Teachers and staff members are evaluated formally and informally by the principal. The faculty is asked to set three goals each year to help them grow in professional and instructional areas. These goals help each teacher to stay motivated and to continue to grow in their profession. Teachers and staff are encouraged to attend workshops each year to continue to strengthen their professional acumen. St. Anne’s School does provide payment for the workshops or for the substitute for the teacher. These opportunities include Diocesan workshops, faculty retreats, and workshops pertaining to specific interests such as Kindergarten Conference, First Grade Conference, the National Science Conference, the National Math Conference. Faculty and staff also have the opportunity to attend the Religious Education Congress held in Anaheim each year or the Diocesan Ministry Day. We belong to different organizations including the NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association), NTCM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics), and ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and we subscribe to various magazines as well. These include Teacher, Creative Classroom, Educational Leadership, Momentum, Instructor, Organic Gardening, Today’s Catholic Teacher, Catechist, and Religion Journal.
